General Description
The Yaesu FTX-1 redefines the standards for portable and field communication. Built around an ultra-compact die-cast aluminum main unit called the “Field Head,” this transceiver offers continuous receive coverage from 30 kHz to 174 MHz and from 400 MHz to 470 MHz (including shortwave, FM, and Aviation bands). It operates in all modes: SSB, CW, AM, FM, and digital C4FM.

In FTX-1 Field configuration, it pairs with the high-capacity SBR-52LI battery (6400 mAh) clipped to the rear to deliver 6W (5W in QRP mode) with a record battery life of 8 to 9 hours.
Powered by an external 13.8V DC source, its power output increases to 10W while automatically recharging its battery.
By adding the removable SPA-1 amplifier, it instantly transforms into a powerful 100-watt base station.
