our story
In 1971, a California Highway Patrol officer and Navy Signal Corps veteran, who also happened to be a radio amateur, took over a small radio shop on a wooden dock in Burlingame, California. Bob Ferrero (Bob), then K6AHV and later W6RJ, was a dedicated member of the California Highway Patrol. He loved amateur radio and was determined to start a business selling amateur radio products.
Today, radioworld is a family-owned business with multiple retail locations across the United States, including an impressive online presence, making it the largest amateur radio dealership in the world.
