Description
The Momobeam EF1040-300W is a multiband wire antenna that covers the amateur radio frequencies 7, 14, 21, and 28 MHz!
It can be installed in minutes, either horizontally, in an inverted L, or as a sloper!
Its features make it perfect for both fixed installations and portable use.
All bolts are stainless steel, while the box and wire are made of UV-resistant materials.
The main characteristic of this end-feed antenna, as its name suggests, is that it is fed at one end, a point where the impedance is very high (approximately 2500/5000 Ohms).
The main advantage of these antennas is that, by using a long half-wave radiator, they also have a high feed impedance at higher harmonic frequencies. Thus, by using a suitable impedance transformer, the antenna can operate on multiple bands with an acceptable offset.
The main components of the feed point are the radiating element, made of coated copper wire, and a broadband impedance transformer with a 49:1 ratio, which aims to convert the feed point impedance to a value close to 50 ohms.
