Warranty Policy

Last Updated: March 14, 2026

At RadioWorld, we stand behind the quality and reliability of the ham radio equipment, communication products, and accessories we sell. Our warranty policy is designed to give customers confidence and support after their purchase.

Warranty Coverage

RadioWorld products are covered against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. Warranty coverage applies to eligible products for the warranty period specified on the individual product listing, invoice, or manufacturer warranty documentation.

Warranty coverage may vary depending on the product and manufacturer.

What the Warranty Covers

Depending on the product, warranty coverage may include:

  • Manufacturing defects
  • Defective electronic components
  • Hardware failures caused by defects in materials or workmanship
  • Problems that occur during normal and intended use
  • Defects that prevent the product from operating as advertised

If a product is determined to have a covered defect, RadioWorld may, at its discretion, repair the product, replace it with the same or an equivalent product, or provide another appropriate resolution.

What the Warranty Does Not Cover

The warranty does not normally cover damage or problems caused by:

  • Accidental damage, drops, or physical impact
  • Water, moisture, fire, or extreme environmental conditions
  • Improper installation or setup
  • Incorrect wiring or electrical connections
  • Unauthorized modifications or repairs
  • Misuse, abuse, or neglect
  • Use outside the manufacturer’s specifications
  • Damage caused by incorrect antenna installation or operation
  • Power surges, incorrect voltage, or electrical faults
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage that does not affect functionality
  • Damage caused by improper storage or transportation
  • Missing, lost, or damaged accessories resulting from customer handling

Antenna and RF Equipment

Ham radio equipment must be installed and operated according to the manufacturer’s instructions and applicable technical requirements.

Damage caused by improper antenna installation, excessive SWR, incorrect grounding, lightning, power surges, or operation outside the equipment’s specifications may not be covered under warranty.

Customers should follow all manufacturer recommendations when installing and operating radio equipment.

Manufacturer Warranty

Some products sold by RadioWorld may be covered directly by the original manufacturer’s warranty. Where applicable, customers may be required to follow the manufacturer’s warranty procedure.

The warranty period and terms provided by the manufacturer may differ from RadioWorld’s general warranty terms.

Please check the product listing, invoice, or warranty documentation supplied with your purchase for product-specific warranty information.

Warranty Claims

To make a warranty claim, please contact the RadioWorld customer support team.

Please provide:

  • Your order number
  • Customer name
  • Product name and model
  • Date of purchase
  • A description of the problem
  • Photos or videos showing the issue, if applicable
  • Any relevant troubleshooting information

Our support team may request additional information to help determine whether the issue is covered by the warranty.

Inspection and Approval

All warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification.

After receiving the required information, RadioWorld may provide troubleshooting instructions or request that the product be returned for further inspection.

If the product is found to have a covered manufacturing defect, we will provide an appropriate warranty solution in accordance with the applicable warranty terms.

If the issue is determined to result from misuse, unauthorized modification, accidental damage, improper installation, or another condition excluded from warranty coverage, the claim may be declined.

Repairs and Replacements

When a warranty claim is approved, RadioWorld may repair or replace the affected product or component, depending on availability and the nature of the problem.

Replacement products may be the same model or an equivalent product when the original model is unavailable.

Repair or replacement does not necessarily extend the original warranty period unless otherwise required by applicable law or stated in the applicable manufacturer’s warranty.

Shipping for Warranty Claims

Shipping arrangements for approved warranty claims will be communicated by our customer support team.

Customers should not send products back without first receiving return instructions from RadioWorld. Unauthorized returns may cause delays in processing the warranty claim.

Used and Open-Box Equipment

Warranty coverage for used, refurbished, demonstration, or open-box equipment may differ from new products.

The applicable warranty period and coverage will be stated on the product listing or provided with the purchase documentation.

Used or open-box equipment may also be subject to manufacturer warranty limitations.

Warranty Limitations

The warranty applies only to the original purchaser unless otherwise stated in the applicable product or manufacturer warranty.

Warranty coverage is limited to the product and components covered under the applicable warranty. RadioWorld is not responsible for damage to other equipment or property resulting from the installation, operation, or use of radio equipment, except where required by applicable law.

Customers are responsible for operating ham radio equipment in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, licensing requirements, and manufacturer instructions.
